Visitors get to the painter’s studio through a reception lodge and a shop which lead to a “walkway garden”. A hostess can give you information about the artist’s work and his life.

In this garden, “totems” deal with the family property and the studio.
Concerning the garden adjoining the studio, it was designed like the continuation of the visit and forms a “walkway garden”, inspired by Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s paintings.
Lovers can amble along, sit on a bench for a minute, enjoy this sweet peacefulness and, why not, roughly sketch the surrounding scenery. You will have the pleasure to admire the fruit trees, the green plants and fragrant flowers.

The garden is dedicated to the spring season Renoir loved painting so much.

“In the meadow”, “Path through the high grass”... Many of his paintings show the particular attraction the artist felt to the colours of the surrounding landscapes.

He used to love painting flowers, the charm of roses, the bright colours of tulips, the undulated shapes of anemones. Still life had never been so lively.
